I know, right? Tank Maokai regens health like hes guzzling energy drinkas by the gallon and Caster Maokai has over 4000 mana! There are huge differences between the 2 and that makes them scary. I love Maokai because he can tank (due to passive ability) OR Deal magic damage (due to his skills).

Simply use what you need. keep your ultimate up and running, and cast to kill them scum down.

Tank Maokai could use extra mana regen/ability power so invest in a rabadon's deathcap or Archangel's Staff.

Caster Maokai can use sorcerrer's shoes for magic penetration and add a warmog's armor to increase his health becuase its lacking.
