Intro
Welcome to my Malphite Sup guide! Im main support at Brazil's server gold tier, playing League since 2010. I hope this guide is useful to you, and I'm really looking forward for your feedback! Thank you for being here!
This is a general guide, which aims for really any level games.
Malphite is really strong support and one of the best team fighter.
As a sup, it has good harass capacity and a kit with good payback to protect his botlane partner, if the enemy team engage.
But the best part is the potential as a team fighter: it has good AoE damage, and its ult can easily change the course of the game in your favor. Malphite is a cannonball of cc, damage and sadness for the opposing team.
Poke with your
Seismic Shard. At lvl 1 and 2, just once or twice. At lvl 3+, shower them with it. With
Spellthief's Edge,
Arcane Comet and
Scorch it is gonna hurt. You get a speed boost from
Seismic Shard and you have your passive
Granite Shield which absorb some damage, if they dare retaliate your poke.
Always try to make the best out of your
Granite Shield, waiting for it to grow back before poking.
If they engage your adc, respond with W
Brutal Strikes and E
Ground Slam. W also gives you armor and E reduces their atk spd, giving you some advantage. When the adc is in real danger, it is possible to scare them away with
Ignite.
In the early game do not underestimate the minions though, they deal a lot of damage. When your minions are alive and the enemies' are not, slow and bait them. But in case you have fewer minions, then fall back. Always avoid fighting enemies alongside their minions.

Now your combo does awesome damage. Your adc and foes alike will move differently.
If you have a great combo in lane, just wait for the lane to be pushed, and engage when the adc and sup are close, so you hit both of them. If they are too aware, do not insta ult or they might flash away, as they are preparing themselves for that. Instead, Q
Seismic Shard them and walk around. Countless times ppl flash away in reflex, avoiding an ult that was never launched.
Avoid forcing fights. If the enemies are staying close to their turret, just zone them away.
Farming minions provide much better gold e exp, and they are losing it.

This is where you shine, your time for glory.
Remember you are not tank as a support as you would be in top lane (besides you have a lot of AP carry items, which lets be honest weren't made for tanking). So don't dive unless you can ult 3+ ppl.
The perfect behavior is
Seismic Shard their front line and falling back, waiting for a good opportunity to ult. This happens better in the jungle, because the terrain is narrow and forces the players to stay close to each other, and there are bushes where you can hide for more of a surprise effect.
