Changed the build after I Actually learned to play him. Works really great when u play aggressive. Which a team initially needs from a tank.
Health Armor and MR runes.
Shadow Dash - Shen dashes rapidly toward a target location, taunting enemy champions he encounters.
Shen rapidly dashes to a target location, taunting enemies he collides with for 0.8/1.1/1.4/1.7/2 second(s).
Shen restores 50 Energy if Shadow Dash collides with a champion.
This ability pretty much makes Shen the ninja he is. It's just as good offensively as it is defensively. The taunt can sa3ve your allies butts in a tight situation. Also amazing for escaping ganks and whatnot and is a perfect substitute for Flash. (Hint: The taunt can stop abilities that involve channeling like Nunu's Ult.)
Stand United - Shen shields target allied champion from incoming damage, and soon after teleports to their location.
Places a shield on target allied champion, absorbing 300/525/750 (+1) damage for 7.5 seconds. After channeling for 2.5 seconds, Shen teleports to the target's location.
This ulti is simply awesome. It can save a teammate and land you a kill, turn a whole team fight around and land you a win. Requires good map awareness and knowing when to use it and when not to. Give you control of the map somewhat (along with teleport) its main purpose is to save your allies or in some cases save yourself.
The Skill sequence should not be followed to the letter. Ninjas adapt and you should adapt your skills based on what you feel is most necessary. Need more heal/harass? - max vorpal. Need to absorb more damage? - max feint. Need a longer taunt? - max shadow dash
A ninja's gotta do what a ninja's gotta do.
Ghost - Basically good for any hero, Good to chase and good for escaping especially in combination with shadow dash.
Teleport - What's better than a teleport? 2 teleports. For all the basic reasons map control etc.
Flash - Not that important since you have shadow dash but I guess it's ok.
Fortify - Not a big fan of it but can be useful.
Revive - I used this a few times. Not bad if you just died and your ulti's up you can get right back in the fight.
Exhaust - Ghost is fine for chasing but use it if it floats your boat.
The rest not so much.
Better than Ruby Crystal IMO because you get armor and health regen along with health.
MR and CC reduction big plus for this build. Ninja Tabi is also OK but you have plenty of armor in this build.
Go back for this and to finish off your Mercs if you just have boots.
Get this ASAP and Farm like there's no tomorrow. Get that health up quick (and gold too).
Get these and aif you can afford it. At this point you have so much health the green bars above your head are probably just thin lines. Next...
The main source of your firepower. Crit + Armor + A whole lotta damage.
Wits end can be interchangeable for malady if ur really kicking ***.
The rest you can figure out why they fit in this build. But those can also be changed according to your immediate needs.
This build also allows Shen to backdoor incredibly efficiently.
