strange item build for an ap carry, why would you go with archagenls instead of an athenes unholy grail

Did you try the guide before you downrated it. im thinking not. Yes it is a wierder build for an AP carry but syndra isnt like the other ap carrys so why build her that way.

I think this is actually a pretty good guide as stated before. Might find some improvements somewhere but hey, that's no prob.
Might want to add elixirs at the end. People forget those.

Hey sun great guide so far looking forward to the advanced guide, I recommend using a chalice instead of the tear. I've been playing syndra a lot in the last few days and I've been finding that chalice works a lot nicer, it gives amazing sustain compared to tear and the mana problems disappear around level 6 anyway. Chalice also gives magic resist and it's cheaper. I personally tend to get a hextech and then get an unholy grail anyway instead of rushing a rabadons because the only way for syndra to be viable in lane is for her to have a constantly advantageous comparative damage output the unholy grail also gives that much needed cdr. I just feel like unholy grail is too good of an item to pass up for syndra as it gives her constantly higher ap mr sustainability and cdr

Tried twice in Dominion. For the second try I never used Scatter the Weak and it was much much better. I do think Scatter the Weak is useless in Dominion, coz the range is too close, and if ppl have Mercury's Treads they only get 1 step back. Just max Dark Sphere and Force of Will then play like Lux, dun waste 1 single point on Scatter the Weak.

Nice, well-made guide, but there are some things which hurt my eyes:

1. The first thing is your rune setup. The flat armor runes are only okay if you are laning against an AD champ, if it is not the case, then the mr runes are better, or I personally like the manaregen runes the most, it also helps with your mana hunger. Or if you still want to get armor, why not the per level bonuses? They will be higher around lvl 7 than the flat bonuses, and you wont have to deal with ad champs till that. Also, why dont you change the glyphs to per level ap and the quints to flat bonuses? It's simple maths: 9 Greater Glyph of Ability Power gives you 10.8 ap, while 3 Greater Quintessence of Ability Power gives 14.85 ap. 3 Greater Quintessence of Scaling Ability Power gives you 23.22 ap at level 18, while 9 Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power gives you 27.54 ap at level 18. I don't even you why you switched the basic setup.

2.The masteries. 2 gold per sec means 360 gold in an avarage 30 min game. The spellvamp that early counts almost nothing, only champs who doesn't use mana could benefit from it, since they can spam their skills. The 20 gold for start, let's say is ok, because you can buy one more potion with it. The CD is almost useless early, if you have mana problems, you won't spam your skills, but it's okay late game. And the CDR for summoner spells are always good. But there are many wasted points, so I'd choose the offensive tree for an ap carry like her, with manaregen, mana and runic affinity utility.

3.The pros/cons section is an awesome summary for a champion's abilities in every guide, you should make one :D

4.It may be only me, but I like dedtailed guides, and it is kinda short :D But it is okay this way if you don't have the mood/time to write more :D

That's all. Some of them are only my opinions, some of them are facts. If you change them or explain why you chose them, I'll definitely +1 your guide as soon as possible :D

About the tips - why would there be 2 AP carries (Syndra and Annie) on same team in a game?

Had Syndra in ranked today, she alone lost the game.

she have mana problems, slow yet had great cc&dmg the thing is how can we maximate em?

personally i took mr for blue ap runes may be offansive but if you have vs some poke&down heroes mr is crucial due to your low based hp they can took you out easily...

specially fizz like characters.

well i dont mastered her nor her items yet but early chalice of harmony and 2 doran ring with mr runes make you strong on mid, you can farm and poke enemy quite well, after that is critical. If you turn for rod of aegis or rylai you manage to have great hp and take punishment quite well (cuz they are goin to focus you asap) but then your ap may fall behing. Making rabaddon before rod&rylai boost you greatly yet you may be squishy.

we should build chalice or tear of goddess like items so its a bit costy and late blooming char. my advice is FARM like crazy and wait late game fights due to her passive.

oh yeah and i figured out that throwing the BIG minions into your spawn point when defending your nexus saves a LOT of time and mana. i had 734 AP end game though so it didnt make much of a difference by then
