Support Gaming - Syndra
Did you ever want to play Syndra, but were tired of the sweaty assassin counterpickers in mid? Well, mages are all the rage as botlane supports and she has decent amounts of hard and soft CC. Go for it!
Pros:
Cons:
As you'll likely be flamed at worst and have raised eyebrows at best, do your best to prove them wrong! This is the UNIQUE and BEST feeling as an off-meta, low-ELO support. Always leash your jungler, manage vision (SAFELY), tip your waiter, and ping.
Early game
You are a pokemage. POKE. Take Q at level 1 (obvi) UNLESS you are invading and fancy picking up/chucking the buff with W.
E 2nd for two reasons: bonus ball blast range, and the stun can protect against ganks (and set up for early lvl 2s from your side as well).
W 3rd. At this point, shenanigans may be happening around the scuttle crab/dragon pit. If you can safely help (and not endanger your ADC) then get involved and fling it on the enemy junglers head.
Punish every cannon minion attempt with Q and Q+E stun blasts. The summon on Q is enough to punish even Caitlyn, and at max range your E teases out another few hundred range. Bushes are your friend (don't facecheck, chuck a Q in there if you're unsure)
Mana WILL be an issue. Less so after the Q buff to lower the cost, but be mindful and try to have enough for an emergency E.
Mid game
By 9, you should have maxed Q; this provides even more poke damage. Keep working on W for added slow as you should have your Imperial Mandate/Moonstone by now - be flexible as to what you need as a team (extra oomph from ImpMan or a bit of extra sustain from MoonSto).
Mana shouldn't be so much of an issue now, hooray!
Late game
Even as a support that is debuffing enemies for your teammates, you're capable of doing a LOT of hurt. W max has bonus true damage. Keep your wardstone control wards topped up!
