Introduction

Hello everyone here at MOBAfire.Teemo is one of my favourite champions and I think that my guide will be helpful!!!

Spells

[Passive]This is sort of a restricted stealth. Not the best passive in the world, but if you are being chased around with low HP and you find yourself trapped, a quick stand still in a bush or hidden area could save you. This is also good for surprising people beginning game in lanes you aren't supposed to be in!

[Q]This is your anti-AD carry, and with this build, it will hit hard. A quick blind, along with a longer range than auto-attacks allows this spell to be great for picking off stragglers.

[W]A nice little passive and active. Gives you move speed, and when activated, doubles that speed. This will help you catch/get away from enemies.

[E]A passive dot, and one of the hardest hitting poisons in the game. And it ticks for quite a while. Use this to harass, shoot them once, run away.

[R]THE signature Teemo spell, and one of the best traps in the game. Gives you jungle and lane control, helps with ganks and escapes. This will do a good chunk of damage in this build as well. You just need to make sure you place these EVERYWHERE. Don't be afraid to leave your lane for a second to place one somewhere else. Help your teammates out a bit.

Gameplay

Early game: laning phase
This is the most important phase of the game for Teemo, I'd say. Your main goal now is to farm, no matter whatever lane you're in. If you are in top or mid lane, no one from your team will take you any creeps, but beware your enemy, specially before level 6. Try to harass them a bit with your Blinding Dart and some basic attacks, but don't engage a fight unless you are sure to win or you are being ganked.

You'll see that farming is easy thanks to your Toxic Shot. With practice, you'll learn to calculate when to hit minions, but even if you fail thanks to those secret 3 HP minions seem to have, poison will do the rest for you. To bother the enemy AD carry, just hit him with Blinging dart whenever it's up and you don't need it for farming, and offer him some poison too.

In ganks and fights, always remember to blind the enemy AD carry. He won't be able to deal any damage to you, and he will get a good amount of damage himself thanks to the Ability Power you already have. Always try to get the kills (as with any AD carry), and never forget that you have your Noxious Trap. Take advantage of the fact that they will focus you, and run to the mushrooms you should have in your bush (how to place them is explained in the Mushrooms chapter). Wait for them, and once they've hit the mushroom, blind them and hit them. If necessary, Ignite to get the kill.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
One of the best farmers in the entire game
Nice early game, fantastic mid game
Good pushing abilities
Tank destroyer
Can evolve into a fully capable assasin late game
Can give map control to his team, which determines games
Mushrooms deal very good damage
High mobility

Cons:
If your team has a lot of ap champs, and enemies build heavy magic resistance, you may begin to have some problems.
Has a tendency to be focused in team fights
Mushrooms can be destroyed by anyone who has an oracle's elixir
Squishy

Runes

9x Greater Mark of Insight
You deal magic damage. You get little magic resistance reduction from items. So you need to find other sources of magic resistance reduction. This one's a good source.

9x Greater Seal of Resilience[/color]
Less physical damage

9x Greater Glyph of Shielding
Less magic damage. You can also buy Greater Glyph of Warding

3x Greater Quintessence of Potency
A nice AP start for any caster or AP hybrid. I use this on all of my AP characters.

Items

Starting Items

Fairly simple. One of the best starts for any champion, especially Teemo. The Boots of Speed are for quick early game poke, and the Health Potion x3 are for lane sustainability.

Core Items
The Malady which keep a good attack speed(Malady is great early/mid game, and is useful all game for MR shredding and the attack speed. This, however, SHOULD be sold end game if you have nothing else to buy. Choose wisely, it's all situational.), and the Rabadon's Deathcap will send your AP to space.I included Void Staff in the core to make space for other boot choices, such as Mercury's Treads or Berserker's Greaves(If you want).

THE PATH OF THE AS/AP HYBRID
This is generally how I finish building Teemo.Hextech Gunblade is great because it gives you spell vamp and lifesteal and it has got a useful active.Rylai's Crystal Scepter is for the HP, AP, and nice slow for you Q. It is the caster version of Frozen Mallet.

Other Good items
The Black Cleaver is not a bad item for those looking to shred both MR and Armor in combination with Malady. Maybe a Hextech Gunblade would go well with the combination?
Guinsoo's Rageblade is never a bad item if you are looking to balance your AD and AP. It's easily one of the best hybrid items out there.
Hextech Gunblade is not a bad item either. This is expensive, though, and I never really use it. Again, good for the true hybrid types.
Morello's Evil Tome is great for those who are AP focused. This is great if they enemy team isn't stacking MR. You can replace your Void Staff with this, and get Sorcerer's Shoes or Mercury's Treads in place of the Ionian Boots of Lucidity.
Phantom Dancer is great for AD focused Teemo's, or those with a little AD looking to further balance out damage.
Zhonya's Hourglass is great for AP focused Teemo's and if you are being focused in general, and has great synergy with Rabadon's Deathcap, which is in your core.

Bad items
Mejai's Soulstealer is a risky item to begin with. Relying on kills to gain your AP is NEVER a good idea, especially for someone as squishy as Teemo. This is a big no.
Archangel's Staff is not for this build at all. This takes a while to build up and is EXPENSIVE. If you want mass AP, get a Zhonya's Hourglass.
Rod of Ages is not for this build either. While many AP focused Teemo's like this item (it is a GREAT item), it will simply slow you down far too much and will massively increase the total cost of your build.

Tips (IMPORTANT)

If you have an extra Noxious Trap available, and your lane is pushed near YOUR tower, farm away! This tactic is also amazing for split pushing!
Zone them and poke them to space. Keep them afraid and away from you. Harass them with attacks and poisons. Place mushrooms EVERYWHERE.
Malady will help you in the beginning so you should sale it later
You can change the build
If you have an AP on mid(Cassiopeia) you can buy Wits End instead of Malady
If you are solo top and you have an AD(Olaf,Talon) you can start with Madred's Razor and then make Madred's Bloodrazor instead of malady
