As the items listed beforehand, there are some ways you can build viktor and he's quite versatile!

Core items you definitely want in each build

Ludens Echo- the best item to build on viktor. In tandem with his upgraded Death Ray, you should be melting the enemy team with this. An extremely important power spike on Viktor early-mid game.
Rab Cap- works extremely well with his Hex Core. It makes his hex core give him more ap per level and just more ap in general. Very strong and will give you a strong power spike
You should probably be rushing this item first, gives him amazing utility, great damage, and more AP! What more could you want?

Items you definitely DONT want

You shouldn't build this unless you know for a fact you're going melee mode viktor. It does give him good stats but you wont be using its passive at all.

You'd be better off going with abyssal or just not buying this at all. You have the mana regen you need from your hex core and dorans ring not to mention mana is barely a problem for viktor. You don't benefit from the little AP it gives either.

You're not playing Heimerdinger, dont fool yourself.

You're making every single Viktor out there cry by building this, if that's what you're going for then buy it.

Good poke, and great damage mid-late game. Helps you CS and you want to max this move second and upgrade second.

Good utility, great for stunning in teamfights, not to mention it slows. Max last and upgrade last.

Your bread and butter, this is your burst, your range, and why you're so broken right now. Max this first and upgrade it first.

This is your ult, and AOE nuke that then continues to do a magic damage DOT to targets standing inside. It cancels channels and is good for teamfights.

Farming with this creep killing machine is a breeze! Yourat max rank with augment kill a full wave in one cast. A good way to combo a wave and make sure you get every creep is to use your augmented and then once all the creeps are moved to the center, use your laser on them and bam! you just cleared the whole wave.
