Rush to your wraiths and start placing saplings once the time hits 1:05 ( I like to place a sapling in the river if I get there early enough.). Place two saplings then wait for 1:39 to throw you third sapling. The third sapling will give you the bonus damage from the first hit and you should be able to clear wraiths then run to blue. This will give you on of the fastest level 4's in the game. Once you have cleared your blue side and you clear you wraiths again you will hit level 3. If the enemy team is playing aggressive I sometimes take twisted advance and gank them, if the lane isn't playing aggressive then just put another point in to sapling toss and go take red ( You might notice that i take two points in sapling early then max it last, I do this because it will allow me to kill red buff and blue buff minions with one Q E combo and it will kill the small wraiths with one Q E combo)

Ganking with Maokai has to be one of the easiest ganks in the game. The object of your ganks is to give your carryies the kills to get them ahead and not for you to get kills since your going to be the ultimate late game tank and initiator. What your going to want to do is land a twisted advace, (w) then walk in front of the enemy and use arcane smash to knock them back into your allies and slow them and finally finish off by using sapling toss and ult in their escape path. Also when jungling Maokai I prefer to gank mid and bot rather then top unless top is getting completely dominated. My reasoning behind this is with bot and mid your going to have massive damage to back up your ganks allowing you to take that lane from 100% health to 0% by the time your CC is gone.

Your basically your team initiator. If you see the enemy teams AD carry just if vulnerable pop your Shurelya's and you twisted advance and arcane smash then use your ultimate for as long as you can while also popping your Randuins. This will basically make the enemy's team's AD carry or anyone else you CC down worthless in team fights.
