I felt the same exact way for a very long time. The reason I switched was because i started looking at my over all damage. Poppy doesn't gain a TON of magic damage to her Q and E, but it is much easier to stack AP for Linch than it is AD for trinity. If the game went on for a long time and I could build a fully stacked AD poppy; yes you are almost unstoppable. If the game is less than 20 minutes I prefer my AP poppy. If you look at your damage output even with AD poppy you'll probably be surprised to see how much magic damage you actually do. Thank you for your feedback btw! 300+ views and nothing to show for it lol. Did you try it out? When I did Ad poppy I typically tried 21/9/0 or 21/0/9 in the runes, but once I went AP I didn't like either of those as much as 9/21/0 AP, but still maintaining extremely similar dmg numbers with more survivability. You can counter many annoying characters. :D

hmm... i don't like ap poppy much, since she provide more from a trinity force and her devastating blow doesn't deal hard ap damage. her damage is her 8% damage of targets max health. also, you shoulnt use heoric strike to damage, just to stun. her other abilities doesn't use ap, so you shoulnt get ap for THAT... i think she deals better damage with her main combo. (heroic strike-devastating blow-auto attack with trinity force stack).
