Introduction

This guide shows you how to play the strongest Vayne possible. Vayne puts the CAN in cannon because she CAN stomp anybody given the most skilled user playing her behind the screen.

Here's the plan:

Last-hit your butt off, farm as much as possible every chance you get, and get those items as fast as possible!
Start with Last Whisper to bypass armor-stacking tanky-dps newbs.
Boost your critical strikes with the Phantom Dancer, and increase your Silver Bolts procs.
Get Infinity Edge for optimal damage so that combined with your Whisper/PD, you're dealing the most damage possible from that point onward.
Rush your life steal Blood Thirster so that combined with your Last Whisper, Phantom Dancer, and IE, you're getting the best damage/sustain ratios possible from that point onward.
Get Entropy if your game lasts long enough, or get the Phage early on if you're having problems catching up to enemy kiters.
Blow your enemies out of the water with your mid and late game damage.

Runes

Greater Mark of Scaling Attack Damage: ArP is a waste if you're rushing Last Whisper. Vayne can benefit greatly off of AD combined with the Last Whisper.
Greater Seal of Defense: Highest possible armor values possible vs dem AD carries. Vayne can use all the defensive stats she can get her hands on. More armor means less AA damage, less damage from minions, and more chance to stay alive.
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist: Best used vs mages, and Thornmail/Sunfire cape newbs [cape not so much damage, but still].
Greater Quintessence of Scaling Attack Damage: Same as Marks [see: Marks explanation]. Best AD ratios combined with Last Whisper to make Vayne a lean mean killing machine.

Last Whisper. It's your armor bypass, so ArP runes aren't 100% necessary.
Last-hitting. Combined with the Offensive Mastery "Butcher" and some fast AD from Last Whisper, your last-hits should be prestine and perfect so you can farm up as fast as you can, thereby gaining the best possible item-advantage.
Might runes give you AD almost equivalent to a B.F. Sword, so you can pew pew much harder by late game when it matters most. Rush your Phantom Dancers before boots if you want to gain some very sexy Crit. and Move Speed [Phantom > Berserker's while still having almost the same move speed]. Whisper, crits, and life-steal, and your max AD runes, and you're going to be one tough cookie.

Masteries

All out AD Offense!

Why? Because you want to deal the most damage possible, and you want to be able to farm fast. Alacrity runes plus Whisper and PD, and with Butcher +2? You should be last-hitting every single minion almost perfectly, and racking up tons of gold for your entire build. If you do it right, you'll be ahead by almost one entire item in no-time flat.

Items

. Tanky-DPS meta. Nuff sedd... So, rush this guy in order to get an early start on best damage while optimizing your last-hits on minions.

. Extremely high crit. rate combined with movement Speed for chasing. Just one of these makes one out of every three auto-attacks crit..

. Optional, but it does boost your damage rating for maximum damage. You can get Merc. Treads to help counter cc, but you'll still be so fragile that it may not even be worth it [depends]. It's entirely your choice, though.

. Combined with Phantom Dancer, gives you a HUGE damage boost. You can rush this item first, but without PD, your chances of landing crit's are low enough to be considered unreliable during early game. It's up to you, though. I personally hold off until a bit later when I have PD, and my crit's up.

. Best AD carry lifesteal item. You can rush this first, but armor will lower your LS slightly. Also, waiting to rack up gold for a B.F. Sword may wind up costing you farm because you could've built the Last Whisper instead. If you buy the cheaper and more effective items first, your farming will become easier quicker, and you'll also have better damage each time you return to the field.

. Best damage, but you may run the chance of not slowing someone down. Your AS should be enough to proc the slow, so it's almost entirely reliable. You can pick up Frozen Mallet instead, but the damage won't be as good, and though the health is better, you're a squishy that can easily get popped like a zit. So keep this in mind.

Skill Sequence

Q - . Use this skill to position yourself in front of your opponent and a wall so you can stun them with your E. Use it to close in/chase enemies, or to escape with your life.

W . Level Last because your enemies shouldn't have massive hp early game, even with all defensive items. The bulk of your damage comes from your AD items and Q/E/R.

E - . After positioning yourself in front of both your enemy, and a wall that's behind your enemy, use this skill to stun your opponent.

R - . AD Steriods and stealth. After activating this skill, use your Q to become stealthed. You can stealth prior to ganking to surprise your enemy. You can also use it to escape from a gank aimed at you.

Summoner Spells

. Reduces damage dealt against you for a few seconds while slowing your enemy and reducing their armor so that you can turn the tides of a 1v1 battle in your favor. Remember, you're extremely squishy, and you can use all the enemy-damage redux/enemy-slow-down you can get. So this summoner spell's definitely the perfect candidate for that.

. Great substitute for Exhaust. Stops enemies with crazy Life Steal. The last thing you want is to die at the hands of your enemy because he out-lasted you in 1v1 due to life steal/spell vamp.

. Best gank and escape spell around. You can use it to flash at an angle and stun your enemies with your E.

. It can get you out of some nasty cc and Ignite/ Exhaust spikes. Use Cleanse, and your Q and E, to either resume your assault on an enemy, or escape from an assault carried out on you.

You can use all other Summoner spells at your discretion, but you may regret not taking one or both of the above spells instead.

Summary

s an amazing carry, but you have to have the right composition and skill level to be successful. Best AD item choices for this Tanky-DPS meta we're caught up in.
