Thanks a lot for the thoughtful comments. :)

However I do think that the main differences here are our difference in play style.
I think the initial item choice really make the major difference between your built and mine.
I choose to run boots and 3 pots mainly because the early advantage of pots are significant in solo laning. Imagine if your trading attacks, and your health went down to about 2/3 while u bring the enemy down to 1/2. And all of a sudden he/she just decide to stay back and pop a pot. within 20 seconds he heals up 200 hp. and you want to keep the pressure on but because early on creeps do a lot of damage you couldn't auto attack too often. On the other hand, if you choose to play aggressive with boots and pots, you choose to trade hit for 3, 4 times and stay back for pot. (don't push the lane too much) after a couple cycles enemy health will be too low and need to back to base. In the worst case if enemy is strong early laner like Ezreal, you could still stay back with health pots and just farm safely. I usually am able to farm up for 2 dorans and Berserker's Greaves. and in worst case, i'll have enough for at least have 2 dorans with pots (of course the initial boots too) As far as i've played in rank and normal, I also sometimes draw blood pre-6 with ignite, auto-attacks, and spells, and it often catches enemy in surprise because they'll expect harrassment from my ult. In the worst case when I lane against really strong laner I could focus last hitting and get the 2 dorans I need for the extra damage.

The other things that you brought up is really based on the choice of boots.
As of masteries: 2 Offensive Mastery isn't needed if you could farm well even without 10 damage from doran's, but I personally find that it does help sometimes, probably would be enough with 1 point in but i like to have a little extra to be safe.
Runes: The 3 in mana regen could be swapped, these really are what my preference comes and I do run all flat armor quite often too if i know i'm against auto attacker.
item: I think it's quite important to back to base for shopping when you need to, and this really wouldn't slow down your leveling as your enemy does the same too. It's just that matter of not doing so too often. I usually back first for 2 dorans and breserker's. My second back would be for B.F. Sword, third is for infinity edge. And thus keeping at least 2 to 3 pots is really crucial to lane sustainability. I think farming is the key point to getting the late game advantage you need and not necessarily the fb as you aren't the best early game champions out there.
4. I meant gaurdian's angle only as the very last item when a game deciding fight happens. If your enemy team is strong enough to hover around your body after the large teamfight, then your extra item probably wouldn't have done enough to get you a win either, as your teammates are probably mostly dead. If not, then you just probably have a pretty bad team.. tanks & supports should sacrifice themselves to protect you late game not only since your the major damage output then but your life probably gives more gold than theirs.

Anyways.. that's just how I play trist and I would like to hear from your play style as well.

I disagree with this guide on a number of levels.

1. Masteries - the 2 points in Offensive Mastery aren't needed. Tristana doesn't have any difficulty farming Assuming you can time well. Frequently she will be leading most creep scores by a fairly drastic number, even 10 minutes in. Aside from that 9 points in utility is sub-par to 9 points in the defensive tree. You really need to be able to dish out damage as well as take it. The defensive tree helps with that, whereas the utility tree does not. You do lose out of the mana regen, but mana management is an important part of the game.

2. While I don't agree with the mana regen yellows, you atleast have a majority in flat armor which helps with trading blows. Flat health quint's on Tristana are okay. Most players run at least 1 or 2 Armor Pen quints because the health is pretty negligible after level 5 or so.

3. Item selection. Doran's Blade should really be your first item. It is a better option than boots + health pots because it allows you to better trade blows in lane, which is what Tristana is all about. Getting boots and then going back for Doran's Blade completely defeats this purpose. When playing Tristana you want to draw blood as soon as you get your ult. Boots really won't help you do this. And going back for Doran's Blade will slow down your leveling which will also probably inhibit you from drawing first blood.

Additionally, Guardian Angel isn't that great an item for Tristana, or really in general. The stats are really mediocre and the on-death effect usually results in the enemy team hovering around your body. There are just so many better items, even if you want to play more defensive.

over all, you don't miss the mark by that much. decent guide

I say that u dont have to put the ward and double dorans in ur build , the 2nd doran should be optional:D. I did upvote though cuz it isnt a bad build.
