Introduction
I've been playing for a bit over a year now and in that time I have played a lot of Mundo matches. I've always loved him - his moveset, his looks, personality, the way he moves - everything. While playing him I've always wanted to be different than my standard Boots of Swiftness, Warmogs and Spirit Visage.
I've searched MOBAfire constantly, looking for something out of the ordinary. Sure, there has been many builds using a DPS build instead of full tank, hell, even some Ability Power builds out there that I've tried.. But nothing feels right. It doesn't feel... Different enough. It still feels like the same old thing.
I have created this build because, no - not because I think it's different from the other Mundo builds out there; I'm not saying my idea is original at all but I simply think it FEELS different.
Okay, well I'll start off with Summoner Spells.
NOTE: If you find something that works better, by all means comment and tell me, I want to improve this guide as much as possible.
My first choice is Flash. Alot of people generally choose not to run a Flash on Mundo, which to me is very understandable. To me, I just feel flash works well in both chasing and escaping situations in conjunction with his ult and my 2nd Summoner Spell choice:-
Ghost. If you don't want to run a ghost, that's fine. I know these aren't exactly what you would have in mind for what I, and the build call a "Fighter" Mundo. I simply think this works wonders when chasing and/or escaping with his ult and Flash. A lot of people would say to grab Exhaust over flash, but if you're cleaving properly and you're fast enough you dont need an exhaust.
Cleanse is by all means a great spell, especially if people see you're not exactly tanky and focus you; I've found this to happen quite a lot, doesnt matter who you are.
Ignite has limited purpose on a dps/bruiser Mundo, as you already do alot of damage but it can still be useful for those pesky ones who get away when a cleaver misses or you get slowed down by one of their allies running to their aid.

Or you can mix and match. Any combination of these Summoner Spells can be just as good.
Well, for runes it's pretty straight forward. With most bruiser characters I just go with Armor Pen Marks, Flat Armor Seals, Flat Magic Resist Glyphs and Armor Pen Quints.
Another set you could possibly go with is Flat Armor Marks, Flat Armor Seals, Flat Magic Resist Glyphs and Flat Armor Quints.

I say start with Boots of Speed because Mundo isn't really an item-dependant champion early on. It's possible to get 3k+ gold with him before you have to go base even once. Warmogs basically comes 2nd, but it doesnt need to be rushed. Take your time with it and get a Chain Mail first. After you've completed your Warmogs, turn you Chain Mail into an Atmas and watch your DPS soar. Just do everything else as the item list says. The reason there is a Frozen Mallet, Zekes Herald and Youmuus Ghostblade at the end is because once you've reached that point, I want you to sell your Spirit Visage and buy one of those 3, depending how the team is doing and depending how you are doing.
Well basically, I choose to level upbefore because I find it more useful early on. You could indeed just get one point in Masochism early on if you wanted, But I just feel this build isn't tanky enough early on, and Burning Agony isn't as useful for harassment early on.
Maxing is a no-brainer because it sheer harassment forces enemies out of lane in an instant. In no situation would I suggest maxing something else first.
