Tryndamere is a champion that can demolish single targets in a matter of seconds if he get's a favorable top lane. He's not too hard to play but he's not quite easy to play too. You need to know when to go in and when to get out otherwise you are useless. The only thing you need to remember is: Never pick Tryndamere if you see a Teemo in the enemy team.

For runes I take flat Attack Damage Marks, Glyphs and Quintessences with Armor Seals. The reason for this is that I want to maximize my damage, but only use these runes if I'm not expecting the enemy team to build a lot of armor. Remember, with these masteries if the enemy team starts building up a lot of armor, you have to buy some armor penetration (See the 3rd page).

For masteries I take the classic 21/9/0 taking physical damage increase, armor penetration and attack speed in offense, while taking bonus health, armor and magic resist in defense.

For items Phantom Dancer and Infinity Edge are a must buy, without these, Tryndamere is worthless. Also try focusing on reaching 100% critical strike chance (including your passive with full rage +35% critical strike chance), and take infinity edge for increased critical strike damage. If the enemy team isn't stacking armor, buy another phantom dancer, buy Blade of the Ruined king and a Bloodthirster.

Try maxing your Q first leading up with your W for increased slow, and than finally max your E last, as for your ultimate, take a point at level 6/11/15.

In a team fight if you have a tank you shouldn't go in first as the enemy team will most likely focus you down first, if you are the only tank in your team, you should go in first using your E (Spinning Slash) and focus down squishy targets (ADC/APC) but keep your eyes on your hp bar, as soon as you get too low, immediately activate your ult.

Ignite is mostly used to kill Tryndamere after he uses his ultimate and survive most people will just ignite him and try to run away. When you find yourself in a situation like this, don't use your heal right away because you will die in that case, run away and wait until your ult goes down and than heal yourself, this way you will survive the ignite, otherwise you'll die.
