There is a lot of different opinions on Tryndamere solo top. I personally think, that following the metagame with Flash/Exhaust is very strong, and provides an excellent opportunity to make good plays.

This Tryndamere focuses on pushing towers, and having an amazing lategame.

Amazing defense early-game, amazing offense late-game, which is what you should have on Tryndamere. Movement speed is awesome utility to have.

Another basic thing, taking what I can use. I take 9 Utility over Defense because mid-game red is amazing on Tryndamere, as it gives you an edge in the top farm game against your opponent.

Start Doran's Shield against people who can harass you a lot, that's Renekton, Udyr etc. Boots are really awesome early-game as it let's you lasthit a lot easier. Wriggle's is an amazing item, it let's you push faster (which is what you should be doing when your opponent is gone), the survivability it provides is really good, and the free ward is just awesome.
Now you get a bit of attack speed before going to the big damage items, and there's where Infinity Edge comes into play. The stats and passive on this really empowers you.
he Youmuu's Ghostblade gives you the armor penetration you want, and after that you should get a defensive item, getting either Guardian Angel, Thornmail or Banshee's Veil. Replace Wriggle's Lantern with a Bloodthirster at the very end. Don't forget to buy elixirs!

Basic, don't level E since the slow on your W is much more useful.

Flash/Exhaust gives you both offensive and defensive capabilities. If you find yourself against two AP carries, you might consider Teleport over Exhaust as it gives you an amazing backdoor opportunity.

Tryndamere is one of the stronger champion in this game, and I really enjoy playing him. Get your farm on!
