Item Build

Okay, so with this build you have to keep the goal in mind. It is not to carry the team super hard and get all the kills. Your goal is to put a global pressure on the map that will make it easier for your team to take objectives. Early game you start Doran's Blade. You need to start with this for the sustain it offers, this will keep you in lane longer, and ultimately that is what you need. Your first back you should try to have at least 1350 gold, that way you can buy Lucidity boots with the Distortion upgrade and have the cooldown on your teleport reduced. You can then teleport back into lane without costing your team anything (usually) because it will be up in 3 minutes (with proper masteries). You should then start maximizing your attack speed. Buy Stinger if you are in an Ideal lane, or rush Blade of the Ruined King if you are against a tank, you may also take Wit's End if you are against another AP top laner. The 50 MR difference it provides (25 away from them 25 to you) will help you win the lane. After you have your first attack speed item, you want to go straight into Rageblade. Guinsoo's will help you push lanes with frightening speed. From there you will complete your other attack speed item and maximize your AP. However the rest of the build is pretty flexible and situational.
