Introduction

Hey, so this is my first build, but that shouldn't impact the quality of it since the majority of my games are played as Twisted Fate, and practice makes perfect :P Anyways hope its helpful, it lays Twisted Fate out as a Ranged DPS, who is item dependent, and as a result plays similar to that of a carry, even though he isn't classified as one.

Runes

The Rune picks are intended to give Twisted Fate the edge in early game ganks. The increased attack speed and critical strike chance allow for elaborate damage and can allow you to gank from the lane bushes on top or bottom before the minions spawn.

Masteries

The masteries i have chosen are fairly standard for the common ranged dps, where increased damage and critical strike chance are important. The choices i have made are realistically he same for most ranged and melee dps.

Items

You want to start off with the boots of speed and three health potions that way you are able to lane longer, and stay out of the reach of enemy champions. However the most useful thing that the boots of speed provide is the ability to step inside the turret line and throw the blue card from "pick a card" and step back outside. This is useful to harass the enemy and keep them pushed onto their turret throughout the duration of the laning period before team fights begin. Try to lane for as long as possible, best case scenario is reaching level 6 and getting your ultimate. Usually that is where I cap my lane period and begin to circle about the map watching for low health. Anyways, once you get to low health or level six then go back and get the berserker greaves, as it boosts your movement and attack speed. After Berserker Greaves you want to purchase Zeal to keep yourself dealing damage to enemies. Next you want to purchase ionic spark as it deals a decent amount of magic damage and can be used consecutively with Stacked deck every four hits. When purchasing ionic spark get the recurve bow first so that your attack speed receives an increase then purchase the components and finally ionic spark. The most useful part of ionic spark is it will allow you to eat minions, and opens the door to solo pushing(see Creeping/Jungling). After ionic spark is purchased you can utilize the item to drastically increase your number of minion kills allowing for the eventual purchase of Infinity Edge. Once you have Infinity Edge finish building Zeal to Phantom Dancer. At this point you should be able to easily 1v1 most champions, but the purchase of Bloodthirster will allow for greater chances as the lifesteal creates a better chance for your escape or victory. The final item is realistically up to you :P I usually choose an item which is helpful for the current circumstances which you face. If your going up against tanky team then madreds is a wise solution, or last whisper. You could certainly consider going for another infinity edge to max damage and critical chance, or you could try a hybrid build and throw manumame into the fray.

Skill Sequence

While i have the utmost respect for individuals who would choose twisted fates wild card ability first, I would be kind in saying that they are absolutely bonkers. The entire gameplay of Twisted Fate rests upon the his pick a card ability and the debuffs attached to them. Therefore the choice of "pick a card" is absolutely necessary for the proper use of Twisted Fate. This is why the skill sequence describes the first choices as "pick a card" and "stacked deck". Alternate the choice between these two abilities until your ultimate comes at level 6 then continue to finish off "pick a card" and "stacked deck" to level 5. After this begin toi level up your ultimate whenever you can distributing the additional points into "wild cards".

Summoner Spells

The use of flash is always good the quick getaway, and ignite is for the early game kills. Fairly standard summoner spells.
