Introduction to Twitch, The Plague Rat.

Du hello there! I'm Skevengal and this is my very first build EVAR. So...many of you may be asking why I would choose Twitch. The answer is easy, cause he's effin awesome. No seriously, Twitch is an awesome carry and should not be underestimated...especially late game where he'll lead his team to the Ace/Pentakill. Yikes... Now, some of you may have never even played with Twitch or against him, hell some of you may be like who the hell is Twitch? He's a forgotten rat. After countless nerfs it's like he pretty much stopped existing from the face of...Runeterra. Which is one of my many reasons for having Twitch as one of my favorite champs, because people don't expect such pwnage from him ;)

What's required

You're going to need a couple of things to play Twitch successfully. The first being...Twitch. The second having common sense and map awareness. You're going to need to be able to last hit efficiently, how to gank properly and how to position. And lastly, to have fun :D

Runes

Now, for my Runes, I take full offensive on Twitch, no exceptions. Now this is where the many builds for Twitch diverge, on whether that full offensive mentality is really worth such low survivability. So, as you can see, I have 2 Armor Pen quints, and an attack speed quint...and more attack speed, and then some armor pen. Yes, my Twitch fires like he has a freakin AK-47 in-game...it's pretty epic :D

Masteries

Again, for Masteries I could have gone a lot more offensive but I feel that adding anymore wasn't really worth it and thus, I have an unorthodox 22-0-8 Mastery Tree...Meh Masteries are really up to the summoner I guess. :p

Items

Okay, so...My items are yet again, full on offensive. I grab a Doran's blade, and go out, building into a Boots of Mobility, where you can take Berserker's Greaves if wanted, but I prefer Boots of Mobility for full roaming gank potential. And then, I grab Phantom Dancers for yet again more attack speed, and more movement speed. After that, I get Black Cleaver to fully benefit from all the attack speed, and then, I get a Tiamat, because by then I should have my ult and lol with Tiamat, the results in teamfights are hilarious. After that, I get a Bloodthirster, since, with such attack speed, I pick up some lifesteal, and after that the last item is really up to the Summoner, but I'll usually grab Madred's Bloodrazor. Sometime while building Tiamat, after I get the pickaxe and the long sword I'll sell my Doran's blade. Whenever you want to sell your Doran's blade is up to you, you can also rush boots if wanted too as well, although this is never as preferred.

Skill Sequence

Ah, Twitch's skills, for his skills I like to get His Q, his stealth first (Ambush), and then get Expunge, and his AoE slow, and then I focus on maxing out his E first, putting in points into his ultimate, whenever I can and then maxing out this Q, and then finally his W.

Skill Combo

In team fights, your skill combo will be to q and to position and then wait for your team to initiate, after you will pop your ultimate, spray and pray, hopefully you have started melting down the enemy team, and they will begin to retreat, use your slow, and then finally expunge. The same can be said for an unsuccessful team fight, go in, ultimate but see that a tactical retreat is necessary so, slow your enemys and go back, possibly using expunge if an enemy is low or just to put in some damage. I would not recommend using your ultimate for 1v1s being that Twitch can only shoot in a straight line and the enemy by simply moving back and forth can dodge quite easily.

Playstyle

Playing as Twitch, you get your items and I normally head out bottom lane with someone because the way I play as Twitch is a roamer. (Thus explaining why I get Boots of Mobility rather than Berzerker's Greaves) Twitch is a horrible harraser due to his poor range and that his skills can only be activated upon auto attack. Thus, I play as a OUTTA EFFIN NOWEHRE assassin. And, by doing so, your lane partner can continue pushing as you go off securing kills. It is also useful to realize that once your opponent knows that you leave to gank, so stealth and then gank your on bottom lane as they will not expect it.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
- A really great late, game carry.
- Great Scouter
- Exceptional Ganker
- Is a stealth Champ.
- Really fun to play :D

Cons:
- There are no cons.
- SUPER SQUISHY!!! Live as if you have 1 HP...because that's how an enemy champ can melt you down.
- Must keep your distance and have good positioning.
- Oracles and Wards can harm you a lot.

Champion Lore

The city-state of Zaun is a twisted realm of science, mercantilism, and magic run amok. While the young science of techmaturgy does much to advance civilization, its research and use in Zaun pushes the boundaries of morality on a daily basis. Zaun, choked with pollution from the countless factories and laboratories that spew waste into the environment, suffers greatly. As polluted as Zaun is above-ground, its subterranean levels are far worse. All of Zaun's runoff waste pooled together in its sewers, mixing into a toxic and mysterious concoction. A single plague rat rose from this alchemical nightmare - Twitch. Unlike his lesser evolved cousins, Twitch became as sentient as anyone else... provided they were as insane as he. A seeming byproduct of the evolutionary brew that spawned him was maniacal insanity, albeit in a functional form.

Twitch came to the League of Legends to represent himself ''as the only one of his kind'' on the Fields of Justice. Since then, he has found a generous benefactor in the city that gave him his evolutionary sentience - Zaun. Twitch is one of Zaun's premier champions in the League, and as such he fights for Zaun when political disputes between Valoran's city-states arise. Twitch has publically stated that his goal is to gain enough influence and materiel from his work in the League to try to recreate the process by which he gained his sentience. While many challenges lie ahead in his quest - one of the largest being his own insanity - were he to succeed, it would mean a bold and brazen step forward in the evolution of all of Runeterra. Zaun has pledged its support for Twitch in his quest, though it remains to be seen what Zaun's ulterior motives are in the matter.

"The existence of Twitch proves that anything is possible on Runeterra." - Heimerdinger
