I agree with you, but as i said, everyone has different opinions.This guide is how i play urgot and i pwn with it(most of the cases :P, ofc).
And the strategy with the shield at the beginning is very good.I meant i use E+Q, but the shield befor spamming the first skill.
Thanks for sharing your ideas.They helped me a lot ;)

I'm also an urgot player and wanna tell you my likings/dislikings about ur build :).

starting with the runes. personaly i go armour pen all the way (not dmg aswell with red).
also with urgot i have huge mana issues if i wanna harrass, therefor i can not survive without my 'flat' mana runes to provide me enough mana earlygame (till lvl 10-12) to dominate almost every lane.

ur build with ncc upping first above shield is also a mystory for me. the advantages a bigger shield gives do not match the minor damage increase from ncc. in my opinion you should up the the last.

my item build is almost completaly different but i wont bother you with the details :P.
only thing about the items i have to say is what i see happen with urgot a lot. they get a bloodthrister. but as urgot you want to spamm your q as much as possible. therefor having no heal with a q attack is not really the best. to solve this problem i take a hexblade (beginning with gun then finishing it). also usefull earlygame as extra ability (tough tho to aim+click during all the q spamm:P).

masteries i like better as 11/0/19 since u need the mana + cdr etc from utility harder then the 0.33% crit.

summoner spells, your choice in ignite i agree with. its a very usefull spell for urgot mostly cuz you'll be harrassing a lot. tho ghost is not really a spell i should take with urgot. i prefere flash over ghost. this because it can be used in 2 situations: initiating (flash + ult) and grab someone before they are tower range. ur just to grab a running enemy. and for escaping over edges etc.


with ur stratagy e-q-w is nothing wrong tho i prefere the w earlyer, so that i know for sure that it slows. also when countered already having shield up helps a lot.

other: personally i find it funny to use urgots ult to cancel other ults (nunu,kate,karth,missfortune etc). still hate it that fiddles ult is an effect that aint cancelable *A*

just my thought about urgot :).
