Threats & Synergies
This one is a plain counter to Vayne. If someone picks Draven against you and you're thinking about picking Vayne, It is good to change your decision :). Although Vayne dramatically outscales Draven throughout the course of the game, Draven's early game pressure and control makes Vayne useless by the time it comes to late, especially if the Draven becomes fed.
Similar to Draven, but MF is a champ who dominates early game and also has a slow with her E ability, which makes it easier for the enemy jungler to gank and set up kills. Although this champ is easier to deal with as Vayne than Draven, it still can be a pain to even farm evenly unless your team play around you in the early game to get you ahead in lane.
Although Senna is a new champ, she is pretty good early game with her Q as well as her W (if she lands it). Although her attack speed is low, she has the ability to chunk Vayne down with her Q's throughout the laning phase, which renders Vayne useless later on if she cannot get farm or get fed
Like MF, Jhin is one of those early game champions who can wreck a new/rookie Vayne player because of his early game damage. When going against a Jhin as Vayne, it is best to play safe and let him push in order to farm/trade under turret.
The rise of mages in the bot lane has led to an obvious downfall of weak early game marksmen like Vayne. Not only does heimer do significantly more damage that Vayene early, but his turrets allow him to clear faster and have an overall better control of the wave, which hinders Vayne's ability to farm in order to get her items.
Swain has the ability like Heimer to chunk Vayne down at the very start of the game. His damage added to his utility and CC can create a living hell for any Vayne hoping to make it through early and mid game.
Not really against Brand ADC, but against Brand support, Vayne can really be pushed behind. Brand's ability to push Vayne back and deal damage to her really are hard to counter since Vayne's attack range is short. Because of this, Brand support counters Vayne pretty hard in the early game
Ashe is a threat to Vayne because of the fact that her W outranges Vayne especially early, and the slow paired with it can be deadly to Vayne during the lane phase
Yuumi's healing and sheild complement Vayne's lack of early game strength. Yuumi's Ultimate also is useful for Vayne to deal consistent damage to the enemy carry
Sona complements Vayne the best out of all supports I would say, She has long range harrass which is usefull early game, and also has consistent healing throught the laning phase, which really helps Vayne either catch up to or get ahead of the enemy carry. She is also very good at sustaining a Vayne if the enemy team picks a counter support or counter carry against Vayne. Sona has the CC, the healing and the poke damage that any Vayne would love
Although Senna is played as both a carry and a support, Senna support when complemented with Vayne is a pretty good combo. She has good poke with her long range Q and healing as well. She also allows Vayne to escape with her E. Her W also offers CC for Vayne to be used either offensively or defensively.
Bard is a good support overall for playmaking as well as sustaining the carry. He allows vayne to regen her health if it gets low, but also has the ability to chain CC someone with his ult and W or play passively. His Magical Journey (E) will lead to a lot of playmaking capabilities later on the game as well, which can be used both offensively or defensively when paired with Vayne
Nami is good for the same reasons bard is good when paired with Vayne. She offers sustain as well as CC/Playmaking with her bubble and Ult.
Champion Build Guide
Jumping right into the Vayne Guide. So Vayne is a mechanically challenging, fun and rewarding champion to play. She has certain strengths and certain weaknesses. Her strengths are that she scales better than a lot of other champions in the game, but her weakness is the fact that she has very low range and is not very early game dominant against many match-ups.
When scaled properly, or when ahead, Vayne is an unstoppable force. Not to mention, she is one of the most fun ADC's to play in all of League of Legends. Her high skill cap makes her even more rewarding to play and win with her. Many Pro players are famous for their Vayne skills and outplays. Players such as Doublelift and Uzi are world-renowned Vayne players who both enjoy playing and winning on this amazing champion.
Hopefully, you have fun playing and learning her during your games!
Remember to not be discouraged when first starting out playing this champ. She can feel underwhelming at first, but slowly, your skills will improve and soon you will be carrying your games!
Have fun and See you on the Rift!
