Twisted Fate, the man behind the cards

Though I know he's a powerful character in LoL. When you play him it doesn't matter where you're focussing on AP or DPS you're sure you will get kills, if not: you play noob or are just failing or the enemy team is firetrucking pro. I got the word firetruck from smosh on youtube, just type in "firetruck smosh" and pick the one in the top screen. firetruck starts with a f and ands with uck so firetruck ;). Back to twisted fate...

his story:
Although born to poor gypsy parents, the champion known as Twisted Fate was able to gamble his way to prosperity as a card shark in the seedy underground gambling circuits of Demacia and Noxus. No matter how close the authorities came to catching him, the rogue always found a way to slip through their fingers. Despite his good fortune, he was never able to win that which he truly desired - the ability to control magic. When Twisted Fate learned of an experiment being conducted in Zaun that might help him with his wish, he did the only thing a gambler of his worth could do - he went all in and volunteered for the experiment.

Conducted by the infamous Dr. Xavier Rath, Twisted Fate was told that the wager for such participation might be steep. He might change forever, or nothing might happen, or he might die horribly. Pain, however, was likely a part of the deal no matter the outcome. These were hardly the worst odds the gambler had faced; his hopes raised, Twisted Fate underwent the experiment, enduring what he must for a chance at his dream. Then, it ended - with seemingly no effect whatsoever. The gypsy rogue flew into a murderous rage, but, before he could strike down the team, he suddenly teleported himself miles away. With a sly grin, he realized his luck had won out yet again. He now brings his luck and rakish charm to the Institute of War, where he is the Champion of choice for many - especially the gambling kind. To this day, Twisted Fate has avoided his inevitable reunion with Dr. Rath. The Card Master knows, however, that a confrontation is coming.

While the future may be mysterious and unknown to most, Twisted Fate is certain that his future lies within the cards.

Why these items? Good question

This build has been made for Dominion but i started playing twisted fate in summoner's rift. I looked up a build and saw that they were focusing on DPS or AP, but i didn't found a combination of both. That's why i made my own build focusing on mana regen, DPS ánd AP.

First buy Berserker's Greaves. These will get you a little AS plus a bonus for speed, which could be used to run fast(er) to capture points.

Then buy Morello's Evil Tome. This one will give you nice AP and mana regen so you can throw cards over and over again. In the comments came a comment (pretty obvious isn't it';)) that Morello's Evil Tome is just like a little blue in dominion. I tried it out and it turns out that it is indeed a little blue, because of the increased speed of dominion your cooldowns are massively reduced and you'll get mana pretty fast.

Sword of Divine! Brilliant item and perfect for Twisted Fate. The active will give you nice armor penetration and the attack speed you get is enormous, so stacked deck will be used in your favor.

Ionic Spark, when i was playing i had no idea what to buy next... So i clicked on this one and thought immediately: perfect! a nice passive too; every fourth attack a bonus damage at 4 surrounding enemy's, that's why stacked deck and a high attack speed will be useful.

Rabadon's Deathcap - When you don't know what to do and your attack speed is high already? Buy Deathcap. 140 AP + an amount of % at your ability power.


I never have played long enough in dominion to get further then deathcap, but i looked around and saw a nice item: trinity force.

Trinity Force - it will give you a bit of all and it i think you won't regret it when you have bought it. With sheen build first, you get a nice amount of ability power and a little bit mana you can use wild cards till the end!

Phantom Dancer - sell your berserker's Greaves and buy a pair of these! it will give you a better boost to your movement speed and your attack speed will be better too. And combined with Trinty force you get a little bit critical strike chance to blast your enemy away.

It's really useful in dominion that your level 3 at the beginning of a game. So pick three skills!


look at the schedule... i choose all three at the start because i can use them all.

Loaded Dice - every kill (minion or champion) you and your allies receive an additional 2 gold. Very useful in Summoner's rift but useless in dominion. You only get 60 gold when you have slain a minion, so it

Wild Cards - Enormous range so throw them at enemy's. once you proceeded in the build you will have a lot of damage add to your Wild cards.

Pick A Card - just one to use all three bonuses but just one.

Stacked Deck - at a high level a high attack speed, with a high attack speed a lot of damage dealt. it's easy just use the schedule and everything will be fine.

Destiny - Teleport! :D team fight? Destiny -> teleport -> assisting in teamfight -> kills

The Runes i gave you are useful to Twisted fate; just take a look at it

Greater mark of desolation - this rune will give you a nice bonus of armor penetration just get the enemy down on their knees with the help of these rune

Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration - this one will give you a faster mana regen to use more skills at enemies

Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction - and for the tiny runes; this one! Cooldown reduction always works especially with Twisted Fate

Greater Quintessence of Desolation - and for quintessence I use... more armor penetration! don't have to explain why, have I?

For masteries I use 9-0-21. With Utility at the bottom you get more CR to use more skills at enemies the rest of the masteries in offense are based to totally destroy the enemy, or to run away because i got more CR for exhaust. look at Summoner Spells for details.

exhaust and flash both are useful to escape and to attack/chase other champions.

-Under Construction-

Exhaust - use at other champions to decrease their movement speed; so you can kill them or when he his chasing you and you're is lowlife use exhaust at him and run away.

Flash - when their whole team is after you and you get trapped in 4 enemy champions there are 3 things to do:
1. just die - face it! you're screwed!
2. use Destiny - watch out you need a little time to escape from your place, but a second later you're at the other side of Dominion.
3. use Flash - jump over a wall or just a few meters from the original spot. Or go after an enemy champion to get a kill.
