yes it does give a little magic resist but wouldnt it be better to just rush a kage and a tear and rely on positioning to keep you alive. i just think that chalice is overkill. will test but the $ that goes into chalice even if you sell it sets you back even further than it help. Im pretty sure that with a tear you will be able to LAST HIT minions with ur q for a very long time and not worry about mana but i will test.

Chalice gives you that little bit of Magic Resist, and you barely ever run out of mana with it.Early game it allows you to spam Q a heck of a lot more.
