Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
You will want to solo lane vs 1 or 2 ppl to get enough money. Harass with Transfusion as much as possible, when you are low on health and can't reach your opponet(without taking damage or not at all) you will have touse it on creeps (remeber to last hit since you still get the same amount of health) also when you are under 60% health don't be afraid to use the pool just make sure to have it ready when you need it. If everything goes right you will have a kill at level 6 when they should be at 40-50% health this is where you place yourself as close as possible with out scareing them of and kill your opponet using Hemoplauge, Trans, Pool, Trans use ghost and exhaust if you have to but try to avoid it.
Also make sure to know what summoner spells they have and which are avalible for use. Repeat this kill technique as long as possible also use it on your first jump.
Enter the middle of the creep group then you go Tides, Pool, Tides (if they have a cannon creep you pop trans on it, at the beginning and the end of the attack).Creeping is core in this build and you will notice if you are doing it right when you are 100 creeps or more ahead of everyone else (exceptions are other heavy creepers). When you are not in team fights you want to move trough your forest and kill creeps and every time you are in a lane and if it's possible you should try to hog allt he big pushes of creeps that may end up in bot and top lane at rare occasions in middle lane. Getting all your items as fast as possible is core.
Spirit Visage can be built last if you want since it may be more usefull to get the damage early on, the damage also gives more helth than Spirit Visage.
When you are fully feed you can replace shoes(only if you trust the team) and if your Mejai's not doing well you can replace that one to, both item's are replaced with Rulai's Crystal Scepter. I am aware that the passive is unique but that does not change anything, because what you want is the health and the ability power that this item suprisingly is the most effective for when it comes to Vlad. Now you are done and since you should be the creeping god you should always have money to spare on pots I recommend that you get both the health increase and the ability power increase, if you have invisible enemys get oracle since at this point in your build you will be rolling around with 6,2k-7k health.
(For those that do not yet know this you can buy pots when your inventory is full, though they will be used instantly)
Summoner spells and masteries
You will want the magic pen spec and thus can't take Burning embers to improve ignite/which is half the reason I include exhaust in the build instead of ignite (exhaust can be improved you see) also exhaust will give you a great breather after the pool in a 1v1 against a auto attack based hero, it's also more usefull than ignite in team fights in my opinion.
Also you will want the same defense tree part that I have so you can't take the improved ghost from utility.
Stuns are your greatest foe! So team fights involving many opponents with crowd control abilitys you will either need to get rid of those players first or be faster on the pool pop.
Another weakness is yourself as a player, tower diveing requiers two things you see... first and most important... a brain! Second thing you need is bravery(to much is not good)
Fear not though aslong as you have pool ready the transfusion pool transfusion can save your life against weaker opponents.
Low health should never disencourage you from helping in combat, always remember that 500 health is more than enough to allow you to kill a low health champion.
Things to remember
1. You are not immortal!
2. You should always make sure to have pool ready when it may be usefull
3. People nearly always underestimate your damage when you reach level 6 so have them at around 50% and you will have a free kill.
4. Early on in the game people feel secure at the towers... they are not!
5. People do not expect Vlad to have maxed out CD reduction the life you will gain from transfusion(with this build) will be insanely high just about 325-400 per use with it's around 1,75 sec cooldown.
6. Never EVER TRUST people on your team that you have seen fail earlier on in the match, help them if it's possible but don't die for them... EVER!
Functionality of the build
This build has been toroughly tested in 55 games (at the moment) So I can safetley say that the build is perfect for people whom likes a style that does not focus tank or nuke.
You are now ready to drain your opponents, under the harvest moon.
And as a wise man once said "That which runs through you will run you through." -Vladimir
