Introduction

First of all is the Skill Sequence:

Well, stereotyping Vampires all in all: They suck blood. But Vlad of course uses his ability to manipulate the blood from his victims veins into his mouth (with style). So the primary skill focus is on TRANSFUSION. Why? because 1: It has decent damage and cooldown. 2: It heals you. And 3: IT HAS NO COST! (yay!). Okay all of those were pretty obvious. Next, i usually get at least 1 level of SANGUINE POOL for evasion purposes. (because at low levels with low max hp, it only hurts for creeps and squishy heroes.) Getting TIDES OF BLOOD does not only function as a harrasing tool, but is also useful for the regeneration bonus. (iv'e heard potions and heal effects over-time increase also!)
and lastly the ultimate. No need to explain, you know what to do with it.

Next are items:
Usually players buy the ruby crystal first, but since you will agrriviate using TIDES OF BLOOD a lot then regrowth pendant is much more practical. Given that you are efficient with just this item and one health potion, you can stay on your lane up to lvl 6 or, until you can buy boots, one ruby crystal and an amplifying tome. Depending if your enemies have become stronger or weaker, it is advised to prioritize buying either leviathan or mejai's soulstealer. When you get both of them and you've got 10+ stacks, you should probably buy one or two giant's belt and then slowly go for rylai's crystal scepter and warmog's armor. And lastly rabadon's deathcap will give that just needed boost for late games.

Now On to Gameplay/strategy:
I really don't go agrro until level 2 or 3. The key to this is to spam TRANSFUSION a lot. but don't over do it to the point that it's at CD when your wounded. Aside from that running back and fourth nearby opponents wilst spamming TIDES OF BLOOD is also a good way to agrro...this is only advisable if your hp is high, use of this skill while low in HP should only be done if you have good reflex skills or that it's only creeps you're spamming at. Given that you reached level 6, got your ultimate, and managed to pawn your opposing lane a couple of times you can now start ganking (lvl 4-5 for pro's). One good thing from this skill is you can turret dive low hp champions (in compensation for not tanking ignite.) by doing a quick combo of GHOST -> TRANSFUSION + TIDES OF BLOOD -> SANGUINE POOL away!. Latter in the game TIDES OF BLOOD and SANGUINE POOL will do large amounts of damage with your huge health.

Well, that's all i can tell you....for you can only understand this once you experience it!
Note: Stats have not been boosted by the items' stack effects.

Runes, Masteries, and Summoner Spells

Basically my Runes are more focused on Health and of course AP, As much as Transfusion hurts (due to the quick cooldown compared to Vlad's other skills, and decent damage.) Sanguine pool is relatively the most damaging skill Vlad has to offer (given that you have high AP and Max Health, coz that's what Sanguine Pool's damage is based on. And that your enemies stand, or as i like to say "swim" in the pool for the whole duration. The Masteries i set up is for quick farming, utility for your skills and spells, which of course supports the Teleport and Ghost summoner spells; These are used for ganking not for escape.
