Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This is the first build I submit so i would like you to after reading, post sugestions on how to improve the guide or the build itself. Happy reading ;)
Vladimir is that annoying guy that keeps nuking you and healing himself and has that ultimate that makes your life disapear or kills you after you finaly escaped that gank. Vladimir is also that team fight changer being able to make his enemies die faster and being able to ace the enemy team.
Pros and Cons
[+] Good farmer.
[+] Has a great low cooldown nuke/heal spell (Transfusion).
[+] Great spell that can be used in many situations (Sanguine Pool).
[+] His ultimate can change the course of a team fight.
[-] Easy to kill when Sanguine Pool is on cooldown.
[-] Item dependent.
[-] Madred's Bloodrazor counters him.
Utility masteries fits better with Vladimir because he's not a DPS champion and this guide focus on spells damage making the defense masteries useless.
Skills sequence explantation
Transfusion is maxed out first because of it's very low cooldown on level 5. Only one level of Sanguine Pool is got early because you don't have that much of bonus health yet and you only want it to escape ganks easier or slow your oponents a little. Tides of blood is the second spell to be maxed out because it lets you farm easier. Hemoplague is leveled up whenever it's possible beacuse of the increased after damage.
Rune build explanation
Magic penetration marks to make your spells especially Transfusion do more damage on your enemies, cooldown reduction glyphs to make Transfusion even more spammable and dodge seals since physical damage champions are a pain to Vladimir late game.
Item build explanation
Mejai's Soulstealer is a must to any Vladimir that wants to deal high damage with his spells so start with an Amplifying Tome turning it to the Soulstealer as soon as possible. Get your boots of speed to move faster and rush a Spirit Visage to low your cooldowns. Finish your Sorcerer's Shoes and move on the your Giant's Belt followed by a Hextech Revolver so it's spell vamp can combo with Transfusion. Your next item is Rylai's Crystal Scepter (you can get it before Hextech Revolver if you want) and then finish your Will of the Ancients providing you and your teamates AP. Your last item is Zhonya's Ring that will boost your ability power and because of Vladimir's passive it will also boost your HP. I put Elixir of Brilliance in the end bacause you should always be using one and putting lots of it's image would make the item build bad to look at -_-.
