Why to choose Soraka, and why as a TANK!

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Alex, i'm 15 years old and this is my first build on Mobafire *CHEERS*!

I started playing tank lot of time ago, while i was tired of being so squishy and always the first to be focused in team fights. My first tank was Alistar. Yet i know he's a FREAKIN' SUPPORT! I don't see why we would waste a potentially mortal ultimate for a support... anyway, let's skip to the point of this guide: Soraka.

Soraka seems to be a fragile, weak and dumb, but she's actually a deadly champion when played properly. Her Starcall can deal serious amount of damages if you'r enemy is fool enough to underestimate you'r Unicorn Power. You'r high damage silence can lead them to their death, or only pisses them off in laning phase. Who doesn't love a spell that cost 0 mana to cast ;) !

When i said ''Tanky'', i really meant UNDESTRUABLE. So i go with;
9 Greater Mark of Fortitude: To have a decent amount of health early-game.
9 Greater Seal of Resilience: To block some of that GP's critical.
9 Greater Glyph of Warding: To counter this annoying Karthus tiny bomb of death
3 Greater Quintessences of Fortitude: Because you never have enough maximum HP.

With thoses runes, you could go mid and totally rape that Veigar with you'r 0 AP, or you can go bot and provide some help to squishy teemo with some stars falling from the sky.

The same thing goes on for the masteries, TANK! ALL ALL ALL ALL ALL in defence! No need of the AP masteries or utilities one, 'cause Soraka IS A TANK!

Can't really talk about masteries, but they are going like so;
0/30/0.

Ok, i guess everybody just want the items and won't even botter reading the whole guide, so:
I usually start of with a Regrowth Pendant and a Health Potion. Then, when i finally die ( Or go ''b'' at 15 minutes of game ) I buy Boots of Speed. I finish my Warmog, and finish my boots ( You can choose Sorcerer's Shoes, CDR Boots or Mercury's Treads ) then, depending on the enemy team, buying my Thornmail or my Force of Natures ( You need both anyway ). I never feel secure enough to carry a whole team fight, so why not buy a Frozen Heart! Finish of you'r build by buying a Guardian Angel to have a second chance.

To make it clear:
-Regrowth Pendant + Health Potion (x1)
-Boots of Speed
-Warmog (Giant Belt, Ruby Crystal)
-Sorcerer's Shoes, CDR Boots, Mercury's Treads
-Thornmail/Force of Natures
-The one you didn't choosed above
-Frozen Heart
-Guardian Angel

But seriously, those day in league, we can't even get past 30 minutes of gameplay, so you won't ever go higher then you'r Warmog... But i swear you'r gonna carry the team like a BAWS!

NEVER, i said NEVER underestimate Soraka... Before making any stupids comments, go on and try this! You wont regret it! Made my ranked team win many games by playing this way, this is something you really have to try if you like tank!
