Wukong has built in tankiness due to his passive, although it does not make him a legitimate tank right from the get-go. I am usually able to harass my opponents, including ranged opponents such as Elise and Jayce. And a smart Wukong can out duel his counters, such as Darius, even though Darius' passive is extremely annoying.

Wukong is incredibly awesome in team fights, if he can stay away from strong CC such as Lissandra or Lux or Sejuani. Wukong is also versatile enough to go mid and jungle. Although I believe he should only be used top or mid. Picking a Wukong early on in draft will almost ensure the other team picking a Darius or some similar Wukong counter, and your team can respond by picking a Kayle or a Teemo to go top.

I'm kind of rambling but the overall point is, he can trick the other team into picking who you want them to pick, so going Wukong jungle, which isn't that bad, can throw the other team for a loop. Anyways, that was my two cents on the subject, have fun being the Monkey King everyone.
