Void staff is kinda weird early, seeing that rarely anyone stacks MR early sides tanks.

I dislike Mejai as a last item (Rarely get it). Snowball items usually should be gotten really early, or just ignored.

WotA isn't good. If you really want to be a support, going for other champs is better. WotA isn't good since as like an artilery, you rarely stand close enough for more than 1 teammate to receive the buff, unless you really want to die.

Rylai is an item I'll recomend for beginners. The slow is only if you have problems landing your skillshots or AOE nukes, but usually, a single stun can have you land ALL your skills, and your Q twice.

Merc threads is bad. Xerath's main feature is VERY far ranged skills, even without Locust of Power. There are few champs that have that big range for spells. Thats exactly why you should manovure the sides. A good Xerath is probably one that either have so much insight to be able to move along with the teamfight w/o giving the chance to be caught. In fact, Kogmaw and Xerath has the option of NEVER BEING DAMAGED in the entire fight. Their range is well above ALL champions with regular consistency, instead of just 1 single ult that is global.

Besides that, your build need some pictures.

Hope it helps :P
