Awesome Guide. Being a relatively new addition to the league, I did not want to jump in head first and play Xerath without looking into a great guide. This by far is the most helpful and effective guide I have come across. I will defiantly be applying your advice into my game play. Great Job.

I love the build. It works great.

I explain most of my item choices in the items section. The reasoning behind Odyn's Veil or Abyssal Scepter is for magic resist, and that late game you can easily get in close with how tanky you'll be. Deathfire Grasp is an end game item as few other items will give you as much burst as it. I think Xerath's range should be used constantly for early game, but late game there are no excuses to take a few hits for your team, your passive gives you massive defense so you might as well use it. That's just how I feel, though. As for for the Runes, I also explain that you don't need CDR past level eight or so and there's no reason to use per level, even with the massive Dominion level speed (though nerfed with the last patch.), the only time you need CDR is early game. That is also the reason I don't get Morellos, he just doesn't need CDR at all. But that's just me, I of course appreciate the feedback. (:

And Void Staff is wonderful, but not worth switching anything else out for it, (except deathfire, like I said you have options at that point.) But I prefer only getting one magic pen item besides boots, and I want magic resist. The only magic resist/ability power item is Abyssal, so I go with that instead.

Pretty decent guide yeah except items, Here is my feedback:

1.)Change Glyphs for CD/lvl, because you level up in Dominion so fast, you'll have way more benefit over flat CD Glyphs.

2.)I really don't see a point in Deathfire Grasp and odyn's veil]. The whole point of Xerath is long range cannon, and this 2 items requires that you go almost melee near. There are many better choices like [[Morello's Evil Tome, Void Staff, Hextech Sweeper,...
