Xerath- The Magus Ascendant

Xerath, This champion has unbelievably long range and can be very strong if built right. He is dependent on ap, Don't try building attack damage with him or he will be useless.

Runes

Why choose these runes? Xerath is a great champion and is decent without runes, however, if he has the right rune build his game will be entirely stronger. I chose these runes because:
1. Xerath needs ap for his damage and his armor
2. Xerath needs the magic penetration to hit even harder with his attacks
3. And lastly he needs mana regen because he can run out if you try to spam abilities especially in team fights.

Masteries

With masteries i use something similar to my fiddlesticks jungling masteries, i just change some of the masteries when i see it is needed such as smite and duration of the buffs. I try to hit magic penetration along with mana regen and ap.

Items

Try going for ap, i picked these items since they are usually the best, grab a dorans ring to start and then if grab boots of speed, if you are getting fed then buy boots of mobility and then void staff. if not fed then just get boots of speed then void staff then head back to boots of mobility. then follow up with the rest of my items and build them the way you please.
