This is my first guide so it is pretty basic and simple with not a lot of pictures to start. I know good Yorick guides are in high demand so i want to get this out as fast as possible. It will be updated soon. This is the way i build Yorick and it seems to work well for me. If you have any recommendations i will be glad to consider them and alter this guide accordingly. Thanks :]

I choose these runes for a little added damage from Armor Pen Marks. Since Yorick is a tanky DPS i choose to go with HP Quints and HP per lvl Seals. for Glyphs you have several options. You can go with Magic Resist Glyphs for a bit more bulk vs. caster AP characters, or you can go with Mana Per 5 Glyphs if you find yourself constantly OOM early game. I usually go with MP5 Glyphs but it is up to your personal Preference.

Going with an offensive mastery build will greatly increase your damage output a since i play Yorick as a Carry i find this necessary. I choose to put my extra points into the defensive tree to increase my bulkiness. Yorick does lack an escape mechanic so the dodge and increase run speed after dodge will help you get away from those pesky gank attempts.

I max my E first, simply because of the lifesteal and harrass potential. This allows you to stay in lane longer and farm more gold early game. Q is second simply because it increases your damage output and movement speed. Yorick is pretty slow without items so this helps alot in chasing and maybe even escaping a gank. W is last Because, for me at least, its main use is the slow and not necessarily the damage increase. I put one point here just for the slow at start.

This item build is pretty self explanatory. It is focused on Mana sustainability, Damage Output and Runspeed in the Early-Mid game. Trinity Force is what makes Yorick great, Increased damage, Runspeed and a chance to slow enemies are all good for this champ. And in late game Warmogs + Atmas will increase your Health and Damage Greatly. I find this to be the best Item combo for Yorick, after trying several builds this is what yielded the best results for me.

Flash/Exhaust is pretty much as good as it gets. Both are great for chasing AND escaping ganks. Both areas which Yorick has trouble with Early-Mid game. Possible alternatives are Flash and Ignite. Flash can help you escape some sticky situations and ignite can get you some kills that you otherwise would not get. Also you can ignite people who are trying to use Health pots so you can push them out of the lane faster. Really its up to you. If you choose not to use exhaust do not forget to alter your masteries accordingly.
