Hi, this is my guide for the champion Zed. I would like to start off briefly talking about Zed and how to play this guide.

First off, while Zed is an AD champion, he plays much more like AP assassin. This, combined with the fact none of zeds ability by themselves are any good, make Zed a difficult champion to play. I like building my Zed more of a glass cannon rather then take more tanky items due to the fact that I believe that a) late game his primary role to to kill the AD carry before he can do any damage. By building tanky you are losing the ability to kill the ad carry before he has a chance to respond b) due to Zed being an assassin, I feel his ability's are somewhat wasted when building bruiser. That being said, there are still definitely going to be times in which you want Zed to be more tanky then not.

For strategy I would like to Start with Zeds Ult:

While most ults are used as finishers or initiators, Zed's ult is quite obscure. While you can use Zed's ult as a finisher, that is not really the most effective use of it. In the lane faze, if the opponent is squishy or only moderately tanky, hitting them with your ult if thier 1/3- 2/3 full usually ends up in a kill for you, as long as they have not burned their flash. Start the fight with zeds ult, or use it after you have used your Shuriken and slash and they are only 1-2 seconds away from use again. I find it most effective to use shuriken-wait 2 seconds-Death mark-shadow slash-shuriken- living shadow (to pursue them if they are not dead yet)-shadow slash.

Harassing with living shadow:

Using Zeds living shadow is great, but it also your escape. Make sure you have an ally nearby. flash is up, or your close enough to your tower to use living shadow.

harassing with razor shuriken:

If you are going up against a ranged opponent, use the shuriken to kill a minion as well as try to hit them. Focus the minion and if you the hit the champ as well, then great. Zed is quite good at getting cs, and you should not force a harass when your primary concern should be minions.

Living shadow:
Living shadow is great utility here is a list of some basic uses other then with your q and e
-face checking a bush you are unsure of, (it grants you vision
-scaling over (some) walls
-Chasing/ escaping
-juking
-putting it down, waiting a few seconds while you run away, then activating your abiltys for a massive harass range

Pros:
High damage
Does not use manna
high harass range
Great finisher/diver
Kills carries fairly easily
25% bonus to AD
Fun to Play
Lane either mid (yes mid) or top

Cons:
High difficulty
Squishy
Runs out of energy very quickly
Relies heavily on his ult (not necessarily a bad thing however)
his abiltys individually are ****, you have to learn how to synergize all of them
