Is there a way to put notes in your guide?

What I mean is putting notes in your guide code so when you look back you can quickly remember what that section does. Most coding languages have some sort of way to do this. Basically the readers will never see it, only people with access to the coding side. So is there any way to do this?

For example in lua I believe you just do -- Before your text.

Quickly googled it, doesn't appear to be possible...
Would seem useful though, I know C# and Java use the hashtag for inline code comments. HTML likes <!--> </--> I believe.
