If your guide has been pushed too far down, then just leave a comment on various review shops. If your guide is good, it will receive an upvote, and it will slowly rise back up until you reach the position you deserve, even if it does take a while.

I do agree, that as long as the guide proves itself to be better, it will get higher, as long as people are willing to look at it (which most aren't I think).
Can't please everybody though, there's always someone who disagrees for some absurd reason.
