All feedback is useful and, as much I have no intention of playing top, it's important to understand it. I'd not considered how my hard my actions telegraphed the gank. I've been wanting to improve on responding too slow to ganks, but I guess I need to make sure not to seesaw into the completely opposite problem. And yeah, I'm swiftly starting to learn that I can't make use of ganks when I'm in that position. I'm glad to know I was starting to come to the right conclusions (and glad that you've given me a boost to get me there in the end :> )
@oxide, haha, thanks, I guess. Hopefully the yorkshire didn't come across in it though.

It only took me - what, 14 games? - but I finally managed to pull my weight in mid. Damn shame about the lag, I managed to avoid it but I don't think I'd have survived the lane in game 2 if Vynertje had been running smoothly. Although... I was anticipating and dodging Charm much better than usual, if I was performing like I usually do then they'd likely have hit me even with the lag.
As I long suspected, confidence is really important for my performance. That first game gave me the boost I needed for game 2. Okay, other lanes were going really well and Khazem made some great ganks for me which took a tonne of pressure off and had Vynertje not been lagging he'd probably have crushed all the confidence out of me. Still, that confidence made me a lot less hesitant and more capable of making decisions (be they good or bad).
Cue game 3 where I had no idea what to expect from Mordekaiser other than push push push. No idea of his damage outputs, thus the instance where I ambushed him while at full health and he destroyed me as soon as Charm wore off QQ

^ Just a quick response to explain what was going on from my point of view:
Basically I just played to rush level 6 to go aggressive from then, but it was hard for me to combo correctly (even though I wouldn't like to blame lag for it, because it was still playable. Basically, if I combo'd my screen would freeze for a few milliseconds which would make it a bit harder to play).
There were two fights in which I was having the upper hand but your barrier + khazem turning up just in time turned it around for you in your favor, and because of you being careful (which was good) you managed to stay safe. You managed to stay quite equal in lane which was all thanks to your good defensive play(2 kills ahead with 20cs and a turret down is definitely quite good!)
My charms (and overall plays) were terrible tbh, I hadn't played mid, left alone ahri for a really long time because I was out on holiday for 3 weeks (and hadn't played anything but jungle since my return) but ya, you didn't do bad at all, keep it up! :)
Hope you can keep up playing well against gold+ players, it is really good to see lanes that do not end up being a stomp like most, when they face unrankeds :)

Hopefully I won't be an unranked anymore next time :D I just really want to get a Syndra game or two in normals before starting seeding.
Holy ****, I've won as many inhouse games tonight as I have across all the other nights of inhouses I've attended. Hahaha, that's pretty funny (or at least I think it is).

I didn't lag at all in the first two games and then suddenly people were warping around all over the place, half my Qs were disappearing and I was having trouble just walking around and csing for half the third game. My god Riot pls get your **** together. ;-;
Kinen I was surprised by how well you played overall considering your inexperience and you're a nice guy so good luck and shizz.

I know you're probably less interested in feedback on the game in which you played top, but I just want to say you made the first gank incredibly obvious. In fact, when you decided to walk towards me to get in range to attack / jump on me, you tanked an entire wave of minions while you were still level 3 or so. Not only did that tell me Jarvan IV was near, it also opened up the option of going for the kill on you, which I did by walking back into the lane brush, charging up Elastic Slingshot and waiting for you to reach me. The fact that Jarvan IV ended up not killing me but dying to minions while I was in my passive was a pretty hilarious bonus =D
Generally, if you're getting pushed back and a jungler comes to gank, you simply cannot help. You'll have to either tank the wave like you did, or wait for it to reach the tower before walking past it, effectively missing the experience and cs for sure because you'll be busy trying to kill someone while the wave is dying at your tower. In 99.9% of all cases, it is simply not worth it.
