Who are the favourites to win? (only included 'serious' possibilities)
Origen 2nd strongest? Give me whatever gives you those dreams. I expected Origen to be bottom eight somewhere. They got out of groups because LGD underperformed. They got the easiest draw and that match wasn't even about who was better, but more about who didn't screw up.

Lol, Origen gets beaten by Fnatic in best of 5 for LCS playoffs and you're saying they're 2nd strongest in the world? That's like the most insane logic I've ever heard.
They also got the easiest quarterfinals matchup, so they don't actually necessarily deserve their semi-final spot, lol. Of the current top 8, they're probably actually third weakest, possibly 4th weakest at best since EDG's 0-3 loss to Fnatic.

I think they got the harder quarterfinal matchup. Origen wasn't that strong, as proven today. KOO would have lost as well, considering their record. And they couldn't have faced EDG, so I think they got the hardest draw for the quarterfinal. Their group was on paper difficult with EDG, but they underperformed heavily (like China did as a whole). None of the 2nd seed teams would have made a difference, and I don't think FW or KT really would have done much better. Which only leaves Fnatic as possible challenger.

SKT also already won 2-0 against EDG, so they got that matchup sorted out. I guess China underperforming and having the rest of the korean teams placed on the other bracket is the reason why they seem to be so uncontested.
I really hope Fnatic gets to the finals and takes at least one game from them. We would also be getting a nice OG vs KOO 3rd place match, and possibly 2 non-korean teams in the top 3.

SKT already proved in the summer split that they're on a whole other level compared to the other Korean teams though. Only team they haven't proven themselves against at this point is Fnatic, but it seems likely that they'll remain to appear uncontested even against them.
