15/3 with Swain now, won my first series game, and now it's patching for some reason, but my internet is super slow and going to take ages to let me sign in. Q_Q

5v4 loss. Incredible.

Their Taric was afk from level 1. Mid was pretty uneventful, TF was trying to push my lane, I kept responding by snaring him and going all in on him to try and kill him. He'd always gold card me eventually, and I couldn't really kill him because any time I harassed him low he'd gold card me on about 300 HP and recall.
He kept scoring kills with his ultimate though, and it made his team snowball. We should have still had mid + late-game, but a few ******s on my team kept engaging as 4 rather than push our advantage in numbers, and we kept getting aced. Even when they eventually realized engaging as 4 was bad, our Miss Fortune kept getting caught on her own. The only reason we lasted so long was because we managed to somehow get their mid inhibitor once, and after we got aced time after time, they had to go defend rather than push. Even when their inhibitor respawned and they aced us, our minions destroyed their inhibitor again while they were recalling.
The game ended when I told our team not to get caught while I cleared top, and as I was returning from top, MF had been trying to farm mid while Sejuani and Zac were on the lane, so she got caught AGAIN, Thresh died trying to save her and we lost.
Fml that should have been such an easy win. I can't believe people at this Elo are seriously that ******ed to keep getting caught and engaging without all their numbers in 5v4's.

Yeah, and he was also tanky as ****, like, 4k HP. He kept diving right past our team right on to me, and Sejuani would follow right after him. They pretty much snowballed the **** out of the game by team-fighting 4v4 while I didn't have Zhonya's yet.

Eyyyyyyyyyyy sexy birdy!

People say Elo Hell is when you're better than the people in your Elo but can't climb out because your teams are so bad. I believe in bad streaks, and also incredibly bad luck, but there's no such thing as an Elo that's impossible to get out of because of bad teams. If you're better than the people in your Elo and everyone else is bad, then great, your team is 1 good player and 4 bad players. Seeing as the enemy team is 5 bad players because they're not blessed enough to have you on their team, your team has the statistical advantage, and even though you'll undoubtedly lose a few games, your teams should always have the advantage, leading to you winning more than losing.
If you're truly better than the people in your Elo, you'll climb, no matter how slowly. E.G. took me like 2 months to get to Gold V from Silver I, indicating that maybe I hadn't been quite ready for Gold previously, except now I'm shooting up gold like a rocket. I think I just had bad luck for a while, but I always knew I would reach Gold. It was just a matter of time.
So in short, no, I don't. Anyone who complains about Elo hell will eventually manage to climb out of it ( "it" being wherever they consider to be Elo hell ) or will stay there for a very long time because they're actually at their true Elo.
