1 thing is that you could try to assist your team more, so everything wouldn't be dependant on your damage in team fights. Like if you screw up with 21-2 in one team fights, like accidently get caught, it's almost guranteed to loose objectives / team fight.
This is just me support main talking, dunno about mid mechanics or talon mechanics that much, so I may be wrong.

Took a small break from League. 10 days ago I played my first ranked game with Zed, went 10/6 and lost. I played some customs / normals, my client stopped working, and instead of re-downloading it I just decided I'd take a full break from League and see how things went after it.
This is the first game I played after my break:
I was legendary at one point.
Next game was as Swain vs Fizz with a jungle Eve on our team. She ganked my lane at level 3 by pinging Fizz while I was at my tower and he was in the middle of the lane, and instantly running at him before I had time to get in range for ANY spells. She chased him up to the tower and nearly killed him, but died because Jarvan interrupted her and she ended up giving Fizz double buffs and first blood. Later on Jarvan ganked me and I died, then Eve tried to gank a recently-hit-6 double buffed Fizz who had 40% HP while she was level 4. 2 seconds after attacking him she was dead.
So I was 0/1 vs a 3/0 Fizz and I thought "Hey, surely I'll get carried for once, right?!". I opened up the team stats, saw a 0/2 Vayne, and cried. Think I ended the game 0/10. I basically kept running in and dying straight away. Not intentionally, but Fizz kept 1-shotting me no matter what I did and I had no way of getting CS or XP, so I was level 8 for like 7 minutes.
Eve spent the entire game flaming me for "not going in" during her first gank. Despite the fact that I'd TRIED to go in, but she'd initiated the gank while I was at my tower CS'ing and Fizz was in literally the middle of the lane, so obviously I couldn't do anything there.
Think I'm just going to give up on ranked now for this season. I mean, hey, I hit plat, I've proved I'm better than over 98.1% of League players. Good enough, right?
My objective for now is to just play every month so Elo decay doesn't drop me out of plat, and retain plat at the end of the season, even if my MMR probably is around gold 3, but there's nothing I can do about that.
Edit: Or I might level my smurf to 30, re-name it to "OnlyTalon", play ranked living up to my account's name, and just see how far OnlyTalon will take me. Maybe, we'll see.

Took like, 8 wins in a row to get myself back into goodish MMR, and then a 66-75% win ratio.
Mibbe you need to learn more champs.
