^ This is very true.
We always see what other people do wrong :P
If you were to use LoL replay or so, you can see all those idiot mistakes you yourself did aswell :D
Though stupid me, I deleted LoL replay because I thought it was useless, and now I can't find it anymore :(

I have tried this recently due to me making a few stupid mistakes during some games, and I was kind of planning on doing something like stonewall008's team battle videos on my own YT channel. I ended up recording myself commentating over the replay and then rewatching the combined product. I'm not a great speaker/commentator -especially when I'm not sure what to say-, so I ended up fumbling here and there during the recording. But yes, it definitely helped. I started noticing stuff that I didn't while I was playing, so I ended up doing better in the next game that I did.
WTF. I actually started doing this like 2 days ago after watching a lot of streamers (I thought maybe if I did like them it'd help me). I have to say I found myself silly because I looked like I was practicing to become a streamer but at the same time I realized that it helps so much...
Too true to be true.
Thank you jhoijhoi, Keondre, LaCorpse, The_Nameless_Bard, Arcana3, Apfeljack, Hogopogo, eddie199, Xiaowiriamu, and JEFFY40HANDS for the spectacular sigs!

Hmm, I've been doing this recently, just not talking out loud, but in my head o3o
So in theory, thinking? LOL
It DOES help, watching some streams and nitpicking mistakes before you try and do it for the games you play helps too :D

You need to log in before commenting.
Its better if you do it while you are playing the game, but if you simply can't due to other people looking at you like you are bat**** ******ed, you play horribly multitasking, or some other reason, then doing it as a reflection sort of thing is OK, just not as effective as commentating it live.
You don't have to stream or anything to do it, just try it out and you should see improvement. The reason being, if you can't explain why you do or are about to do something? Just don't do it, most of the time things end up fine. If you don't know WHY you aren't climbing elo then doing it reflectively is fine, but at a certain point which is different for everyone, you can't see or don't know the mistakes you make, which is where commentating replays come in handy. Saying something out loud will make it easier for you to remember the next time you are put in a certain situation to make the correct decision.
Just my two cents, won't guarantee it'll work for everyone, but its worked for a good majority of my friends, including myself, just thought I'd put it out there.
