Yea, I am Swedish, but I think you can still go onto the east server even if you're from the west part.

Yes, but you have to choose one to play on permanently, which really pisses me off. It's essentially splitting the community up even further; at least NA and EU have always been split, but people in the EU are going to be cut off from playing with friends.
For instance, I know a girl in my country (UK) who is dating a guy from sweden, they play LoL together and also play with their friends from each country. What do they do now? (granted they rarely play lately but w/e)

I bet this is to do with EU winning Dreamhack so they can **** us over.
If not, Riot have to be the worst game developers i've came across, their customer service and marketing schemes are beyond hellbent.
