Why would anyone be opposed to the idea of Riot making money? It doesn't effect people who don't want to pay so I don't see even a minor problem with this.
I'd much prefer to pay a bit more RP for permanent ward skins though. Temporary ward skins don't interest me in the slightest.

I don't see how this is really any different from Riot's existing business model. It doesn't affect gameplay. If you don't like it just don't participate?

They wanted to TEST this stuff, in a live environment, to see if it was a good model.

they havnt even released them and they already have enough feedback. people will buy them if they were permanent. not if they were only temporary.
they say they dont want players to have them year long because it would be out of place, yet they are letting everyone buy enough to last a year, and there are holiday skins that are always available.

Ward renting for a year (NOT EVEN PERMANENT, like normal/legendary skin ) :
Deadfall Ward - 10400 IP (And people complaining about 6300 ip champ didn't give you an hint that 10k is too much ?)
Haunting Ward - 41600 IP (Seriously ? I don't even...)
Tomb Angel Ward - 1300 RP (ok that's cheap)
Widow Ward - 3900 RP (cost ~25-30$)
Bat-O-Lantern Ward - 8580 RP (cost over 50$)
and then we have the icons. to get all five, you have to spend over 75 dollars. in october.
people who bought the bonus rp packages a month ago(especially the 100 dollar package)? nope.
people who won rp from the tournaments that just ended? nope.

there are going to be 5 ward skins available, for 200 ip, 800 ip, 25 rp, 75 rp, and 165 rp. each one will only last for 1 week before reverting to a normal ward skin, unless you have another ward skin saved that you can activate. you can only hold 52 ward skins(enough to last a year) before they will refuse you to buy more skins.
second, there are 5 new summoner icons. they aren't purchasable, they are tier rewards for buying rp. they come in rank of buying 1, 1000, 2500, 5000, and 10000 rp. and thats only if you buy rp from now? until halfway through november. i have over 10k rp sitting on my account but im not getting any of these rewards because im not throwing away my money now.
what the ****? are we going to just let them nickle and dime us like that? this is ****ing ******ed.
