Doesnt Pheonix require a ****ton of attack speed runes? Which is pretty meh once you change to tiger stance for the mid-late game?

You're forced to complete red buff without Smite making you vulnerable to counter-junglers and exiting at lower health than you would otherwise - but it's not HUGELY influential.

Jebus, you said that you would have to take on Red without smite. I say, you don't.
You don't need to smite the golems and if you only used smite once, you will have smite up by the time you get to red anyway.

while tiger goes from wraiths straight to red, wasting time
