It's not his damage against champions that is reduced by this bug, (even if it may be reduced a little) it's the damage against jungle creeps, Dragon and Baron. It's just a thing that shouldn't be there.
Attack speed overall is a less useful stat on Trundle because of that.
Attack speed is a good thing in the jungle for some champions, but you'll just be wasting stats if you run it on Trundle.
