I think Demonblade Tryndamere was a nice detail and it made sense because of the scenary, if he had his normal skin you would be like...wtf is this frejlord mofo doinge here?
And when Ryze was in the Paranoia area you could see how his eyes area was covered in black

Yeah he also reminded me of Nidus Worms in Blizz cutscenes

Thing which bugged me was how in ryze's lore the scroll on his back is meant to be indestructable -yet nocturne just slices through it. Meh.
