This question is pointless. ping has never affected my gameplay. i can easily carry games as
Mordekaiser if I have 2 ping or 1000 ping. people need to stop complaining. skill > ping. those who follow my guide to greatness with morde know this already.

If you want you can check out my Mordekaiser Guide Once a month I update it daily.

A very shameful self promotion there :P
but ping really does make a huge difference before the server change I would play at a constant 59 ping but if it went up to over a 120 my last hitting would flop regardless of which champion I was playing.

Riot really messed this one up, I haven't played yet, but I used to play at a 40ish ping. That means I'm going back to an 80ish ping like my old 3mbps internet. How does that work where my new 60+ mbps internet is as good as Version's 3 mbps rip-off? Riot really messed this one up, they think the whole map is green now. What really happened is that East Coast became green and the West Coast became red. They didn't even have to make a new server, although setting up the game like how they have it in China would be best option. They could have even spent more money on the servers in their old location of Seattle to make them stronger. Now, they're in Chicago and that's not even in the middle of NA, that's closer to the East.

M8, what do you not realize from central location? Chicago is the closest thing they could possibly get, unless you want servers in the middle of nowhere. Besides I dont think you realize how bad east coast ping was. No one should have to play with 150+ ping on their own server. Even then, people shouldn't have to connect to a server on the other SIDE of their country, that's not even fair for them.
How the **** would they make their old servers 'stronger'? Add WiFi range boosters to the servers? No that's idiotic and wouldn't even fix the problem.
Here is an idea, quit being a selfish bastard, 80 ping is nothing, others had double of that for 5 ****ing years.

It wasn't cost that was the issue. They didn't want to split up the North American community into two realms - and in the process splitting friends (irl and in game) and family.
And as far as you guys *****ing about 60-80 ms ping, I'll censor myself from saying what I really want to say and simply say that I'll been playing on 140-160 ping for months. Only recently has my move off wifi and the new Denver, Co node managed to drop my ping to 60 ms. It feels practically real time. If you're whining about going from 40ms ping to 60ms ping, imagine a string of curses coming your way.
Anyway, as Riot has said many times, even people on the west coast will have fewer dropped packets, so their game experience should still be good compared to a year ago.
