The game is fine and toxicity isn't as big a problem as people make it out to be. I've never used or had to use /all mute, and I've been playing since preseason 2.
Also I recommend you jump into PVP as soon as possible. Sure pre30s are probably full of whiny little kids, but the sooner you get acustomed to playing against actual people the better. Most newer players I know play bots until lvl 30 then jump into ranked, drop to bronze and go "ugh league is stupid game cant carry team toxic omg!!" etc.

So with my first ever thread, I've managed to
a) get pretty good advice from players who seem to be of pretty sound minds and
b) start (or continue) and altercation between different well known people on this site.
