I think Alistar is better in the jungle than as a support right now
health allows you to take more damage, it doesn't actually make you tankier
supports go for aura items to buff or debuff their team, other than that thye're pretty much there to ward. Getting Warmog's Armor is pretty selfish, it benefits no one except you, even then all it does is give you health and it's a 3000 gold investment. You're not going to have 3000 gold laying around really. Besides if you really want health most supports build Heart of Gold which naturally builds into Randuin's Omen or Locket of the Iron Solari. Randuins would be comparable to warmogs, probably even better.
Shurelya's has one of the best actives in the game, no reason not to get it.
Greater Quintessence of Gold gives 3 gold / 10, combined with Greed from the utility tree you can get a g/10 item by 6 minutes or so without taking CS or getting kills/assists.
