I'm sure if there was a limit, he could expand that blog to make it fit.
LoL Math is a varied topic with a lot of things to talk about.
Not to mention that post was very much an AMA type thing which actually would be better placed in the forums.

Yeah this is 140 characters, NOT 140 words. Let's start with 300 characters and go from there :) 300 is still very short, it's essentially a short paragraph, so we will probably go up from there. I also don't think Twitter is a great comparison, if we were aiming for twitter we'd structure the entire section differently.
Blogs IMO should be at least a few paragraphs. The only popular blogs I ever see that include short posts, are doing so for the sake of encouraging a discussion / chat in the comments section. But, we have a forum for that :)
