So Mobafire is a competition about who gets to Editor first? ... Really?
...
In all seriousness, I believe that most people are right. Editor's rep requirements have been increased (since I realized most Editors in pre-req-raise era had lower reps).
Edit: We've been here before Editor and Scout was introduced. With or without the newly addition of these two "titles", Mobafire is still a good site. I don't know why it is important to ask "lolwhenamigettingpromoted".

(Discontinued)
Here are the stuff:
Old Editor Requirement: 70 +Reps
Old Scout Requirement: 100 +Reps
Old Veteran Requirement: 200 +Reps
New Editor Requirement: 100 +Reps
New Scout Requirement: 150 or 175 +Reps
New Veteran Requirement: 300 or 325 +Reps
I think I am accurate enough.

This.
If you truly want to be an Editor/Scout/Veteran, you don't ask people to rep you, you don't post things saying "Oh, only 30 rep more and I'll be promoted, yaaay!", you shouldn't even care about how much rep you need.
Just post, be active, and help people out. Being promoted is a nice bonus, an achievement saying "you're doing good, keep it up!", not a goal that you wanna reach asap.

I don't think the rep number for promotions should be told. If you get it, you get it for being active and genuinely helping the community. Not just posting random ****, to get rep.
Well no one ever told it. You really only look at the last person who was promoted to see what the promotion +Rep requirement is. Like I found out that Editor is 100 because I saw Phil Collins be promoted to Editor and he had 100 +Reps. No one has been promoted to Scout in a while so no one knows that yet, same with Veteran. It's just inferring based on the recent promotions.

I understand that, but I don't know why people want to know the ranks so bad.
