Nah, not really. The badge will upgrade based on the number in that specific stat (so, 5000 takedowns would give you the Platinum badge or something like that). I don't know the exact thresholds, but it's just something that gets a little fancier over time as you get more experience.
People don't tend to look at those stats very often though. Rank is the most common metric of skill and experience, but if you're unranked, people will usually just look at your total wins to see how much you've played so far.
