I can't speak for fun, it depends how competitive you are and how much you enjoy learning. PvP is the fastest and best way to learn to play well though. Playing with level 30 friends is even better. You'll notice a huge difference if you play with 30s for a while, then later soloqueue against level 10-20s.
And I'm not sure what you mean by "someone kicks me." If you're playing PvP, you should be playing matchmade games, not customs, therefore, you can't be kicked. If someone on either team leaves the queue during champion select, you'll requeue and be matched again. If this keeps happening, just be patient. It shouldn't take too long to get into a game of Blind Pick.
Otherwise it's a connection issue or something, though I don't see how that could only affect PvP and not coop vs ai games.

Thanks to Janitsu for the sig!
Hmmm, you're pretty new to the game by what you're telling us. If I were you I would play pvp. Although it will seem ****ty at first getting negative scores (1/6/0) but yeah, just play pvp, you'll get better. A LOT BETTER then playing AI. Also, if you can, you can play some pvp with some of your friends who can teach you a thing or two about LoL.
GOOD LUCK WITH IT
